So far I am impressed and excited about PixPro's future. of 3 - Beginner - Question about dob choice - posted in Beginners Forum (No astrophotography): Simple afocal imaging of the Moon and planets can be done with almost any kind of telescope. But there is one thing I do know: from you all who have posted PixPro images it is very evident that they have taken GI into the next level, probably where GI wanted to go in the first place before the smartphone intrusion. I'm sure there is lots more I will discover on the GE snapshot pages. It looks like JKI was picking GI up as it was going down. GI filed bankruptcy late 2015 and the court approved its reorganization plan early 2016. JKI announced Kodak licensing early 2013. I would love to know the "what-where-who-how" bits. I personally have no doubt all 3 are connected some how. Could this just be a matter of the camera OS being the same, or was there something else going on between later EasyShare and GE? That's why the IQ is different from the years up to around the Z1012. It's no secret Kodak EasyShare changed manufacturing toward the later years. While you're letting this sink in, I'm gonna throw a puzzle at you:

I cannot find the release date for my GE X600 (Last of GE products) or the Kodak PixPro AZ361 (first of JK Imaging products), but here are their respective ePhotozine reviews, which is dated:Īnd for a little more interest, here's some screens from both the GE X600 Manual and the Kodak PixPro AZ361 Manual. They are the US distributor for their only camera product, Kodak. In 2008 Synnex acquired New Age Electronics. Synnex currently has staff that worked at Samsung, Panasonic as well as GE. General Imaging was made up of Hiroshi Komiya (former executive at Olympus) as well as staff from Samsung and Panasonic. GE was using that company for their distribution. I came across a company named Synnex, which is a global distributor based in Canada. I have been going through many snapshot pages of GE's web site from their start. I copied it into the Wayback Machine at.

I am about ready to make the bold statement that JK Imaging is the old General Imaging!
